Questions about Smile Guide AI.

Short, honest answers to the questions buyers and clinicians ask most often.

Is Smile Guide AI just ChatGPT for dentistry?+

No. ChatGPT pulls from the open internet — it cannot cite a source for a clinical claim, and it cannot tell you when it doesn't know. Smile Guide AI is grounded in a curated clinical knowledge base, vetted by practicing dentists. Every answer is sourced and citable. We built it because generic AI isn't safe enough for the operatory.

Will it replace clinical judgment?+

No, and it shouldn't. Smile Guide AI suggests, drafts, and grounds. The clinician decides. Every note is reviewed and signed by you. Every CDT code is verifiable against your documentation. The product is built to make your judgment faster and better-supported — not to substitute for it.

How does the free trial work?+

14 days, full access. You can use Smile Guide AI in your operatory from day one. We'll send you onboarding materials, and a real person you can email if you get stuck.

What about HIPAA and patient data?+

Smile Guide AI's architecture is HIPAA-compliant. We provide a BAA before any patient data is processed. Patient information is never used to train external models. Detailed documentation is available on request.

Does it integrate with my practice management software?+

Not in v1 — and that's intentional. Smile Guide AI runs alongside your PMS, working at the point of care: chair-side for clinical questions, chart-side for documentation, and at claim review for CDT codes. No connectors to install. No IT project to start. No vendor approvals to wait on. You can be using it in your next operatory session. Deeper PMS integrations are on the roadmap based on customer demand.

Who is this really for?+

Solo practices that want their evenings back. Multi-location operators who want consistency across chairs. Office managers who want claims that don't come back denied. Associates who want answers they can cite. If you're in dental and any of those describe a daily frustration — yes, this is for you.

Why should I trust a new AI company with my practice?+

Smile Guide AI was built by Dr. Shah, a practicing dentist in the Midwest. She built this because generic AI didn't solve her problems. The product is designed by someone who lives the work — not by software people who interviewed dentists.
